New research led by the University of Plymouth aims to understand how magma moves and solidifies to add two million kilograms of new material to the Earth's crust every second during a process called seafloor spreading.

New US and German collaboration aims to produce green hydrogen more efficiently
The US National Science Foundation and the German Research Foundation have joined forces to award the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Technical University of Darmstadt a three-year $720,000 research grant to explore opportunities to more efficiently produce green hydrogen, a clean and renewable source of energy.
